Articles of Faith

  1. We believe the Holy Bible as the inspired Word of God, without any error, the all-sufficient authority in matters of faith, doctrine, and Christian living.
  2. We believe in one God, eternally existing in three Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. (I John 5:7)
  3. We believe in the Virgin Birth of Jesus Christ, and that He is true God and man. He died on the cross for our sins. He rose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven where He sits at the right hand of the Father and is now our High Priest and Advocate. (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:23; Matthew 28:5-6; Mark 16:19)
  4. We believe that man was created in the image of God but fell into sin and therefore lost. Only through regeneration by the work of the Holy Spirit can man’s salvation and spiritual life be obtained. (Genesis 3:19; Act 2:38)
  5. We believe in water baptism in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost. (Matthew 3:11; Matthew 28:19)
  6. We believe in the personal and glorious Second Coming and return of the Lord Jesus Christ. (II Timothy 4:8)
  7. We believe in the oddly resurrection of the dead, the everlasting blessedness of the saved in heaven, and the everlasting punishment and separation from God of the unsaved in hell. (I Thessalonians 4:14-18; Revelation 21:8)
  8. We believe in marriage as being between (1) One Man and (1) One Woman. We are utterly opposed to and teach against Same-Sex Marriage. (Genesis 2:21-23; Hebrews 13:4)

Values

BROTHERLY LOVE
Our Lord states that, “therefore with love and kindness have I drawn thee.” (Jer 31:3). God’s vision for social justice is rooted in the practice of love. We strive to united other churches in Christ through We believe the Church is called to be presented as the bride of Jesus Christ. the world, showing joyful, extravagant hospitality to the lonely and marginalized. We recognize that hospitality means giving people what they need, not just physically and relationally, but also spiritually. “True religion is this, to care for orphans and widows in their distress.” (James 1:27)

WORSHIP
We consider worship as an essential and primary part of the Christian life. Cooperate worship unites the members of Christ into a body, thereby forming a Church which is a body of baptized believers in Jesus Christ. We engage in the historic Christian practice of ordered corporate worship. Liturgical and Sacramental worship frame out fundamentally who we are as a Communion. However, as an ecumenical communion each church within our Communion is autonomous and worships the Lord Jesus Christ as they see fit in accordance with their own church bylaws, within the framework of Communions Canon law.

COMMAND AUTHORITY
Our Lord’s “Great Commission” to us is to, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” (Matthew 28:19-20). We will take this command authority and bring people into a relationship with God through the spreading of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, while unifying with other churches along the way.

UNITY IN DIVERSITY
Unity through diversity is a core belief of our Communion. We believe that there can be unity in diversity. We see in the Gospels of Jesus Christ that each Apostle had different characters, but they were all unified in Christ; Each had a different ministry in Christ, but they were all unified to accomplish that ministry by one Holy Spirit. The closer we get to understanding Jesus Christ, the closer we believe that we will come together as a unified Church in Christ.
